Kedodolan pemula? Salah masukin tag cari cara nge-unlock stir

Mobil baru aja dateng 3 hari lalu (Proton Savvy) dan so far gak ada masalah tiap kali dinyalain... tapi pas tadi pagi maw nyalain eh kok si kunci gak mau gerak dari lock!! Omg, buka lagi deh buku manual untuk ke-3 kalinya (tiap hari baca buku manual tapi cuman skimming)... dan gak nemu... omg.

Last resort: internet. Tapi bahaya juga kalau gak tau istilah dan akhirnya malah salah cari tag di internet...

Awalnya nyari pake tag "savvy kunci lock acc on" tapi malah dapet yang gak bersangkutan. Malah ketemu site yang isinya mobil Savvy sering bermasalah starter karena accu pendek atau apalah gitu. Sampai-sampai aku nemu site Malay yang ngeluh Savvy itu parah banget. Karena keasyikan baca (panjang banget jadi belum selesai bacanya - pending dulu) malah berhenti cari... dan telepon ke dealer beli.mobil. Mimih bilang kalo kunci gak mau ke on. Agak ambigu sebenernya karena lebih condong ke masalah mobil yang gak mau start. Nah trus aku bilang kalo kuncinya gak bisa masuk acc, apalagi on, kayaknya sih karena accu yang pendek, kata internet sih. Akhirnya dealer bilang akan mengirim mekanik ke rumah buat liat...

Tapi entah luckily atau unluckily aku punya tabiat kalo ada masalah pasti refer ke internet dan kalo gak nemu jalan keluar biasanya aku malah jadi stress... akhirnya aku balik buka internet dan search tag lain kayak "savvy susah starter" yang ngasi tau aku ada Club Savvy Indonesia (langsung aku klik ask to join di fb) yang mesti diikutin semua pemakai Savvy (mungkin karena banyak masalah ya). Karena penyelesaiannya gak ada yang gak buka kap mobil, aku jadi stress (kata buku manual dan internet susah start bisa karena accu pendek, sensor kotor,  atau baterai lemah)...

Untungnya aku kepikiran, gimana kalo aku salah masukin tag... Akhirnya setelah ganti lagi tag jadi "kunci mobil gak mau gerak" aku dapet 2 situs (id.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080809071053AA0Oa3G dan satu lagi jenisnya blog tapi gak nemu url-nya) yang ngepost pengalaman yg sama kayak aku! Wooohooo!

Ternyata kedodolan aku adalah gak tau kalo stir yang ke-lock itu cara nge-unlocknya adalah menggerak-gerakkan setir berbarengan dengan kunci kontak diputer (karena skimming buku manual)...

Hhh... bego banget kan aku... ya udah lah, bagusnya kan aku bakalan inget terus...

Jadi satu hal yang harus dilakukan pas dah beli mobil adalah baca buku manual dengan detail, gak cuman skimming doang.

My driving lesson! Day 1

So today I called one of those driving lesson places that I've surveyed through the net this morning. Found one that actually suited my taste best: Kursus Mengemudi Pratama which is located quite near my home but kinda have to take 2 public transportation AND some walking or by motorcycle which I'm afraid to use. Anyway. They told me to give them some testimony so I gave them this (through text message and also comment on their blogger but it's moderated so it might not be published but no matter):

1. Quick response (even though I just called like one hour ago but they quickly sent the instructor and the car, plus I can learn right away like I requested. Can't choose the car though since other people already booked first and I just didn't want to wait for another day, so: Avanza).
2. The instructor is quite friendly and giving out this calm and professional aura (I got wordy because I was quite anxious and worried before. He responded and answered every question I threw at him like theories I learnt from those guys on YouTube and all that stuff last night XP He also gave me clear instructions so I didn't get confused - it's just my legs and hands that didn't sync to what I was thinking so... XD)
3. Fun learning and enjoyed every step (theory and practice went smoothly and in tandem - whatever I was saying - and it felt like I wasn't being lectured how to do this and that and all that stuff. It was actually fun like playing a driving game and not scary at all because despite him being all relaxed, he was always alert in case me gone blank - got stopped twice I think?).
4. This whole driving lesson made me realize that I should've done this ages ago because... addicting. But maybe it's okay because I don't own a car YET (my dad will buy one tomorrow and I hope it will be delivered by the end of this week - GOD PLEASE).
5. One thing that must be sorry for... the instructor actually use handphone while driving and let go of the steering for a bit. Even though he already told me that the steering is steady... and I believe that he is an instructor for a reason but still... in front of someone still learning... I don't think that was wise. Because that 2 time made me worried. For a reason.

But overall... I think it's quite good and fun. Err, 7.5 out of 10?
